- Primero. Confirmar la sentencia proferida el 26 de septiembre de 2003 por el Juzgado Laboral del Circuito de Barrancabermeja.
- Segundo. Proteger los derechos fundamentales a la honra y al buen nombre de Jorge Enrique Gómez Lizarazo.
- Tercero. Ordenar al director del semanario Portada de Barrancabermeja que, si es que aún no lo ha hecho, en el término de 48 horas rectifique, de manera clara y suficiente, la información reportada en las ediciones 105, 106 y 107 de 2003 y relacionada con el Defensor Regional Jorge Enrique Lizarazo.
- Cuarto. DÉSE cumplimiento a lo dispuesto en el artículo 36 del Decreto 2591 de 1991.
