El accionante, actuando en representación de su hijo, elevó derecho de petición ante COOMEVA E.P.S., con el objeto de que le fuera suministrada al menor, en forma gratuita y sin dilación, la vacuna de neumococo.
La entidad accionada no dio respuesta alguna al peticionario.
La Sala reitera jurisprudencia relacionada con el derecho fundamental a la salud de los niños y su protección por medio de la acción de tutela y enmarca la decisión dentro de la línea jurisprudencial adoptada por la Corporación para ordenar el suministro de vacunas, entre las que se encuentra la del neumococo.
