Los organismos de tránsito podrán hacer efectivas las multas por razón de las infracciones a este código, a través de la jurisdicción coactiva, con arreglo a lo que sobre ejecuciones fiscales establezca el Código de Procedimiento Civil. En todo caso será procedente la inmovilización del vehículo o preferiblemente la retención de la licencia de conducción si pasados treinta (30) días de la imposición de la multa, ésta no haya sido debidamente cancelada.
