Decreto 1791 de 1996 · por medio del cual se establece el régimen de aprovechamiento forestal.

Las Corporaciones, afín de planificar la ordenación y manejo de los bosques, reservarán, alinderarán y declararán las áreas forestales productoras y protectoras-productoras que serán objeto de aprovechamiento en sus respectivas jurisdicciones. Cada área contará con un plan de ordenación forestal que será elaborado por la entidad administradora del recurso.

Parágrafo

Mientras las Corporaciones declaran las áreas mencionadas y elaboran lo planes de ordenación, podrán otorgar aprovechamientos forestales con base en los planes de aprovechamiento y de manejo forestal presentados por los interesados en utilizar el recurso y aprobados por ellas.
