Las visas deberán ser expedidas dentro de los seis (6) meses siguientes a su autorización y tendrán que ser utilizadas dentro del año siguiente a la fecha de su expedición. Vencidos estos plazos se considerará caducada la autorización o vigencia respectiva. La validez de la visa se contará a partir de la fecha de ingreso al país, salvo que ésta contemple fecha fija de vencimiento. Cuando la visa sea expedida en territorio colombiano su vigencia comenzará a contarse a partir de la fecha de expedición.
