Las adquisiciones que efectúe el Instituto se someterán, según su cuantía, a los siguientes requisitos

Compras hasta de diez mil pesos ($ 10.000) no necesitarán cotización ni contrato escrito pero se reconocerán por resolución del Gerente;

Compras de valor superior a diez mil pesos ($ 10.000) e inferior a cincuenta mil pesos ($ 50.000) necesitarán tres cotizaciones, acta de adjudicación y contrato escrito, y

Compras de cincuenta mil pesos ($ 50.000) o valor superior, necesitarán de licitación pública o privada según la naturaleza de los elementos y conforme a las disposiciones vigentes.

Parágrafo

En los casos contemplados por el artículo 27 del Código Fiscal podrá prescindirse de las cotizaciones, y licitaciones ordenadas por el presente artículo.
