ARTICULO 176 . ACEPTACION DE GUARDIANES MUNICIPALES Y DEPARTAMENTALES. Los guardianes municipales o departamentales que presenten solicitud ante el Director General del Instituto Nacional Penitenciario y Carcelario, INPEC, podrán ingresar al Cuerpo de Custodia y Vigilancia Penitenciaria y Carcelaria Nacional, siempre y cuando sean evaluados favorablemente por el Director del establecimiento carcelario correspondiente, lleven más de cinco (5) años de servicio, no superen los cuarenta (40) años de edad, sean aceptados por el Instituto Nacional Penitenciario y Carcelario, INPEC, y exista la vacante.
