Los Directores Subalternos de Estadística son visitadores del ramo en el respectivo Departamento, Intendencia o Comisaria, y ejercerán esta facultad una vez al año, por lo menos, en cada una de las oficinas nacionales, departamentales o municipales, en lo que corresponde al servicio estadístico. Pueden también practicarse visitas extraordinarias cuando el Director General o el Subalterno lo juzguen conveniente.
