Para ser Director de la institución se requiere: Ser Oficial General de las Fuerzas Militares en servicio activo o en retiro, y además cumplir con uno de los siguientes requisitos

Haber sido en propiedad, Director o Comandante de un instituto de formación o capacitación de Oficiales, por un lapso no inferior a un año.

Haber sido profesor militar con experiencia mínima de cinco años.

Poseer título en carrera universitaria cuyo plan oficial de estudio haya exigido o exija un mínimo de cinco años.
