Cuando la persona en favor de la cual se activó el mecanismo de búsqueda urgente sea hallada sin vida, se adoptarán todas las medidas necesarias para la entrega de su cadáver a los familiares, independientemente de que se haya establecido la identidad de los responsables de la desaparición o de la muerte y de que se les haya iniciado investigación por los hechos delictivos que puedan configurarse. En todo caso, dicha entrega se hará a condición de preservar los restos para el efecto de posibles investigaciones futuras.
