Articulo 12. Cuando el nacimiento tiene lugar en un viaje o en lugar en donde la madre no tiene su domicilio, extendida el acta de nacimiento, deberá el notario o el secretario del concejo ante quien se extienda, pasar una copia al Gobernador del departamento, Intendente o Comisario, para que por su conducto se le dirija al notario o Secretario del Consejo, del domicilio de la madre, a fin de que se copie en el registro de nacimientos y se archive el acta remitida.
