En virtud del dispuesto en el artículo anterior, la Academia se regirá por los estatutos o reglamentos que ella misma haya dictado o que en lo sucesivo adopte para su gobierno y funcionamiento. Y la personería jurídica que hasta ahora ha tenido por ministerio de la ley deberá obtenerla, para lo sucesivo, como las demás corporaciones privadas, mediante el procedimiento establecido por las leyes y decretos respectivos.
