Si se ausentare un Comandante de Unidad Superior por cualquier motivo, será reemplazado por el Jefe de Estado Mayor o en su defecto por el Comandante de Regimiento más antiguo; de la misma manera se procederá respecto a la Brigada de Caballería, y en cuanto a la Flotilla Fluvial, la sucesión de mando se hará en el Comandante de buque más antiguo.
