Artículo trece . Son plantas flotantes aquellas embarcaciones acondicionadas para trasformar o conservar los productos pesqueros de la empresa, en tal forma que sustituyan total o parcialmente las instalaciones en tierra. Las plantas flotantes no pueden utilizarse en faenas de pesca en aguas nacionales, debiendo por lo tanto, permanecer ancladas en puerto colombiano para recibir el producto de la pesca.
