El Centro Universitario Militar tendrá un Subdirector que reemplazará temporalmente al Director, cuando fuere necesario, y ejercerá las funciones que le señale el estatuto orgánico. Para ser Subdirector se requiere ser Oficial Superior de las Fuerzas Militares, en actividad o en retiro, o civil con título universitario, y, además, haber ejercido el profesorado por un término no inferior a cinco (5) años.
