Los empleados de las carreteras nacionales, amparados por el Decreto legislativo número 1919 de1942, tendrán derecho a escoger entre las prestaciones de dicho Decreto y el auxilio de cesantía que refiere el artículo 2. ° De la ley 3ªde1943. Si el respectivo empleado optare por prestaciones del Decreto mencionado, y muere cuando la suma que haya recibido por tal concepto sea menor que la que le hubiere correspondido, si se decide por la cesantía de Ley 3ª, se pagará a los herederos la correspondiente diferencia.
