Art. 32. Todo buque en viaje de bajada tiene derecho a la preferencia de las aguas : en consecuencia, tan luego como se aviste con un buque de subida dará aviso por medio del pito, i con señales convencionales, para que el que sube le haga paso, ya sea hácia la derecha ya hácia la izquierda, según la señal. El Capitán que por neglijencia o por capricho no cumpliere con esta disposición, será responsable de los daños que ocurran, sin perjuicio de pagar una multa de $ 200.
