Es facultad del Gobierno Nacional expedir las normas relativas a la organización de un sistema obligatorio de garantía de calidad de la atención de salud, incluyendo la auditoría médica de obligatorio desarrollo en las Entidades Promotoras de Salud, con el objeto de garantizar la adecuada calidad en la prestación de los servicios. La información producida será de conocimiento público.
