La pensión de jubilación del periodista profesional se causará y hará exigible conforme a las normas legales vigentes o al cumplir éste treinta (30) años de servicios continuos o discontinuos, anteriores o posteriores a la presente Ley, sin tener en cuenta la edad, a opción del trabajador.
