Para el ascenso de los Oficiales combatientes, se exige como requisito especial el servicio en tropas, así : Subteniente y Teniente; dos años como instructor; Capitán, dos años como Comandante de unidad fundamental; Mayor, dos años como Oficial de Detall; Teniente Coronel, dos años como Comandante de Batallón o Grupo.
