Las cauciones de que trata el artículo 7º de la Ley 74 de 1966, se constituirán a favor del Ministerio de Comunicaciones, mediante garantías bancarias, hipotecarias, prendarias o mediante pólizas expedidas por compañías de seguros, según la categoría de las áreas del servicio en las siguientes cuantías:
