La providencia que otorgue el permiso de estudio fijará el plazo para efectuar lo y señalará la extensión del área, la cual dependerá del tipo de aprovechamiento que se proyecte realizar, de las especies y de las condiciones económicas y sociales de la región. El término de estos permisos no podrá ser superior a dos (2) años y será determinado por la Corporación con base en las características del área y del aprovechamiento proyectado.
