Corresponde al Jefe del Servicio de Giros dirigir y adelantar las investigaciones a que hubiere lugar en los casos de reclamación y dictar las resoluciones subsiguientes las cuales para su validez requieren la aprobación del Ministerio de Correos y Telégrafos. El reclamante debe ser indemnizado lo más pronto posible y a más tardar en el término de tres meses, a partir del día de la reclamación.
