Los Directores Regionales serán seleccionados de ternas que le presenten al Director General, los Consejos Regionales respectivos. Para ser nombrado Director Regional, se requiere poseer título profesional universitario, acreditar una experiencia mínima de tres (3) años en cargos de nivel directivo, en áreas relacionadas con la gerencia administrativa, educativa, de formación profesional o desarrollo tecnológico y estar vinculado a la región.
