Art. 1º. Autorizase al Gobierno para que con las condiciones que estime convenientes, conceda a la "Cartagena Terminal Improvement Company Limited," una subvención hasta por la suma de ocho mil pesos ($ 8.000) en oro, o su equivalente en moneda corriente nacional, por cada kilómetro de ferrocarril que construya la expresada Compañía entre la ciudad de Cartagena y el río Magdalena; pero si la línea férrea general pasare de noventa y cinco kilómetros, no excederá de lo correspondiente a esta extensión, o sea de setecientos sesenta mil pesos ($ 760.000) en oro la subvención que se otorgue.
