En lugar señalado por el Consejo de Antioquia se levantara un monumento a la memoria de Pedro Antonio Restrepo Escobar, fundador de la población, con la siguiente leyenda: "A Pedro Antonio Restrepo Escobar, fundador de Andes-El Congreso de la República", y debajo las faustas fechas: "1852-Marzo 13-1952".
