º. Los establecimientos de crédito que otorguen créditos hipotecarios de largo plazo para vivienda deberán acreditar que han destinado a financiar soluciones de vivienda de interés social, el 23% de la diferencia en el saldo de las operaciones de crédito hipotecario para bienes inmuebles entre el final del período de control correspondiente y el 31 de diciembre de 1997.

Parágrafo

Para los efectos de lo dispuesto en este artículo, se consideran créditos de largo plazo los otorgados por un término superior a cinco (5) años y los que habiendo sido pactados a un plazo inferior, excedan dicho término por virtud de las prórrogas, renovaciones o reestructuraciones.
