La comisión partidora de un resguardo formara el censo o padrón de los miembros de la parcialidad de indígenas que tengan derecho según los principios fundamentales reconocidos en la legislación del país; examinara los títulos de propiedad sobre las tierras; levantara el plano y practicara el repartimiento y adjudicación por lotes entre los indígenas, consideradas la igualdad de derechos y las necesidades y conveniencias de los coparticipes.
