Con fondos del Tesoro Nacional, y en homenaje a la memoria de tan eminente ciudadano, será levantado un monumento en el cementerio de la ciudad de Cali, y un busto en la ciudad de Buga, uno y otro con la siguiente inscripción:

La República de Colombia a Primitivo Crespo Guzmán.
