Las Empresas forestales deberán realizar sus actividades teniendo en cuenta, además de las políticas de desarrollo sostenible que para el efecto se definan, los siguientes objetivos

a)

Aprovechamiento técnico de los productos del bosque, conforme a las normas legales vigentes;

b)

Utilización óptima y mayor grado de transformación de dichos productos;

c)

Capacitación de mano de obra;

d)

Protección de los recursos naturales renovables y del ambiente, conforme a las normas legales vigentes;

e)

Propiciar el desarrollo tecnológico de los procesos de transformación de productos forestales.
