Una vez adquirida esa propiedad, el Gobierno Nacional, por conducto de la Academia Colombiana de Historia, y bajo la dirección de este instituto y en colaboración con el Centro de Historia del Norte de Santander, procederán a la formación de un museo con reliquias del prócer granadino, o también relativas a la guerra de Independencia.
