Limitación transitoria de la exigencia de novedad. Sin perjuicio de lo dispuesto en el artículo 6º, todo Estado de la Unión tendrá la facultad, sin que de ello se deriven obligaciones para los demás Estados de la Unión, de limitar la exigencia de novedad prevista en el artículo mencionado, por lo que se refiere a las variedades de reciente creación existentes en el momento en que dicho Estado aplique por primera vez las disposiciones del presente Convenio al género o la especie a la que pertenezcan tales variedades.
