Cuando no se designe beneficiario, o la designación se haga ineficaz o quede sin efecto por cualquier causa, tendrán la calidad de tales el cónyuge del asegurado, en la mitad del seguro, y los herederos de éste en la otra mitad.
Igual regla se aplicará en el evento de que se designe genéricamente como beneficiarios a los herederos del asegurado.
