Las escoltas destinadas a custodiar los correos de encomiendas irán siempre a órdenes del mensajero o conductor, para los efectos del servicio, y no llevaran otra comisión que la de custodiar debidamente los correos, ni podrán conducir ninguna clase de correspondencia o encomiendas.
