El Ministerio de Educación Nacional, dando cumplimiento a la Ley General de Educación y normas relacionadas, deberá cumplir la obligación de promover las cátedras obligatorias en historia, geografía, educación física en la etapa básica y media en todas las instituciones educativas del país . Adicionalmente, se promoverá la educación en artes y programación.
