Para ser elegido contralor de una entidad territorial se requiere además de las calidades establecidas en el artículo 272 de la Constitución Nacional acreditar título universitario en ciencias económicas, jurídicas, contables, de administración o financieras y haber ejercido funciones públicas por un período no inferior a dos años.
