El Instituto Nacional de Radio y Televisión (Inravisión) a solicitud del Instituto Colombiano de la Juventud y el Deporte (Coldeportes), podrá declarar de interés nacional la transmisión por sus canales de competiciones o eventos deportivos nacionales o internacionales, orientados a fomentar la afición, la práctica y el mejoramiento del deporte, así como para dar esparcimiento a la comunidad.
