El Gobierno puede revisar en cualquier tiempo una adjudicación hecha, y si obtiene la prueba de que una viuda ó madre de militar que disfrute socorro, observa mala conducta ó ha contraído nuevo matrimonio, ó cuando maliciosamente la viuda no cumple la obligación de mantener y educar á los hijos de su marido difunto. Sin embargo, en este último caso, no se llevará á cabo la revocatoria, si la viuda asegura el cumplimiento de su deber con fianza personal, á satisfacción de la Junta. También se privará del socorro á las viudas, hijos ó madres de militares, cuando después de adquirirlo, obtengan pensión ó recompensa por los servicios de estos, según el artículo 7.° de la ley.
