Investigación y desarrollo. Con el fin de lograr los objetivos señalados en el artículo 1º, el Consejo podrá prestar asistencia a la investigación científica y el desarrollo en el campo de la economía del azúcar, así como a la difusión y la aplicación práctica de los resultados obtenidos en esa esfera. A tal efecto, el Consejo podrá cooperar con organizaciones internacionales e instituciones de investigación, a condición de que con ello no incurra en obligaciones financieras adicionales.
