El Comité Nacional de Recreación tendrá, entre otras, las siguientes funciones

Presentar al Gobierno Nacional proyectos para elaborar el Plan Nacional de Recreación;

Sugerir al Gobierno Nacional y a la empresa privada, formas de financiación para el desarrollo del Plan Nacional de Recreación;

Proponer programas de investigación en el campo de la recreación dirigida;

Darse la organización que a su juicio sea conveniente para el cumplimiento de las funciones anteriores.
