Las federaciones deportivas nacionales en el nivel nacional, y las ligas, en el nivel seccional organizarán el sistema de atención médica deportiva,con juntamente con el Instituto Colombiano de la Juventud y el Deporte (Coldeportes) y las juntas administradoras seccionales de deportes, según el caso, y deberán expedir un reglamento sobre la naturaleza de los entrenamientos la forma de seleccionar a los deportistas, el calendario de pruebas y la naturaleza de los exámenes médicos específicos, cuya frecuencia no puede ser inferior a uno por año.
