El Comité Científico. El Invemar tendrá un Comité Científico encargado de velar por la pertinencia y calidad científica y técnica de los planes y programas del Instituto y de la coherencia de estas actividades con las necesidades del Ministerio del Medio Ambiente, y demás entidades del Sistema Nacional Ambiental, del Sistema de Investigación Ambiental y del Sistema de información Ambiental.
