El Gobierno puede revisar en cualquier tiempo una adjudicación hecha, y si obtiene la prueba de que fue ilegal, la revocará. Esto mismo debe hacer cuando adquiera la prueba de que algún agraciado ha tomado armas en rebelión contra el Gobierno, ó ha sido condenado a pena corporal infamante; ó cuando alguna viuda ó madre pensionada contrajere nuevo matrimonio, observare mala conducta, ó no cumpliere maliciosamente la obligación de mantener y educar á los hijos de su marido difunto. Sin embargo, en este último caso no se llevará a cabo la revocatoria, si la viuda asegura el cumplimiento de su deber con fianza personal a satisfacción de la Junta Directiva.
