Si el director del periódico no insertare dentro del plazo señalado por esta ley las rectificaciones o aclaraciones a que hubiere lugar, el interesado podrá ocurrir ante el Juez de Circuito correspondiente, quien oyendo verbalmente a las partes, y dentro de las cuarenta y ocho horas siguientes a la presentación de la queja, resolverá definitivamente el punto, a más tardar veinticuatro horas después, y ordenará, si fuere el caso, que se publique la rectificación o aclaración, e impondrá una sanción pecuniaria de $ 100,00 a $ 1.000.00, que el director del periódico pagará a la persona o entidad que tiene derecho a exigir la rectificación.
