- Primero. REVOCAR el fallo del 31 de agosto de 1999, proferido por el Tribunal Contencioso Administrativo del Valle del Cauca, por medio del cual se negó la protección solicitada. En su lugar, SE CONCEDE la tutela del derecho de petición.
- En consecuencia, se ordena al Seguro Social que, en el término de cuarenta y ocho (48) horas siguientes a la notificación de este fallo, si ya no lo hubiere hecho, dé respuesta a la petición elevada por el actor.
- Segundo. DESE cumplimiento a lo previsto en el artículo 36 del Decreto 2591 de 1991.
