Demanda de inconstitucionalidad contra la Ley 683 de 2001, por la cual se establecen unos beneficios a favor de los veteranos sobrevivientes de la Guerra de Corea y el Conflicto con el Perú y se dictan otras disposiciones.
El actor adujo que la ley censurada resulta violatoria de los artículos 5 y 13 de la Constitución Política.
La Corte encontró que la demanda fue instaurada en contra de la totalidad de la ley, pero que los argumentos de la misma se encontraban dirigidos al ataque de su artículo 3, particularmente, de la frase “que se encuentre en estado de indigencia”.
Teniendo en cuenta que la anterior expresión se consideró ajustada a la Constitución Política en la Sentencia C-705/02, la Sala Plena de la Corporación decidió ESTARSE A LO RESUELTO en el precitado fallo.
