Créase el Programa de Protección a Periodistas y Comunicadores Sociales que en el ejercicio de su actividad profesional asuman la difusión, defensa, preservación y restablecimiento de los derechos humanos y aplicación del Derecho Internacional Humanitario y que, por tal circunstancia, se encuentren en situación de riesgo contra su vida, integridad, seguridad o libertad por causas relacionadas con la violencia política o ideológica o con el conflicto armado que padece el país. Este programa estará a cargo de la Dirección General para los Derechos humanos del Ministerio del Interior.
