Cuando el interesado no residiere en el país, o no fuere conocida su residencia, se expresará así en la demanda, y en tal caso, la citación se hará por medio de edicto, que se publicará por una sola vez en el Diario Oficial.

Pasados tres meses, a contar de la fecha de la citación en el Diario Oficial, sin que se presente a contestar la demanda, se designará al interesado un curador ad litem y se continuará el juicio conforme a lo dispuesto anteriormente.
