La Medalla "Al Esfuerzo", se conferirá a los Tenientes o Tenientes de Fragata que en los cursos de capacitación para ascenso a Capitán o Teniente de Navío ocupen el primer puesto. A los Cabos Primeros, Suboficiales Terceros o Suboficiales Técnicos Terceros, que ocupen el primer puesto en su promoción o curso de capacitación para ascenso a Sargento Segundo, Suboficial Segundo o Suboficial Técnico Segundo.
