El Comité de las Compañías de seguros mercantiles nombrará Agentes en todos los puertos del río, debidamente instruidos para que, de acuerdo con los respectivos Intendentes ó Inspectores ó sus subalternos y los Capitanes ó Patrones de las embarcaciones, dispongan todo lo concerniente á salvamento, á la conservación de lo salvado y á su transporte á los lagares más apropiados para reconocimiento y subasta de lo averiado, si no fuere posible avenimiento con los dueños ó sus representantes.
